Management Accountant
Engineering & Construction, Hertfordshire (hybrid working)
£40,000 – £50,000 + benefits

The Company

A Management Accountant is sought by this profitable international Infrastructure Construction, Design & Engineering Projects & contracting group. Enjoying continued growth in recent years, the business has ambitious plans to capitalise on this success. As a result of an increasing number of large projects, the group is currently seeking a finalist or recently qualified accountant to undertake a Management Accountant role with responsibility for supporting a portfolio of operating business units. A broad and varied brief includes:

Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant

Preparation of monthly financial information including cost analysis, recharges & operating function reporting requirements

Presentation of key variance analysis for month end review

Uploading month end financials, forecasts & budgets into HFM-Hyperion Financial Management

Management of accounting recharge process from end to end

Preparation of quarterly forecasts & annual budgets

Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Development of strong business partnering relationships with operating units

Skills & Attributes of the Management Accountant

Actively studying finalist or recently qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)

Strong financial and management accounting experience gained within a multi-site or international business environment

Demonstrate proven business partnering skills

Possess a confident and outgoing approach to stakeholder engagement

Exposure to construction, engineering or a project-based environment would be advantageous but not essential
