Social Value Manager (Southern Home Counties Business)
Location: Brighton - Covering Sussex, Surrey & Kent
Project Based
We are looking for an experienced and talented Social Value Manager to develop, manage, implement and coordinate Employment and Skills Plans to meet framework and customer requirements. In addition to ESP's the individual will be expected to build relationships with external organisations to support the delivery of these requirements across projects in the Southern Home Counties.

About the role:
You will be working within their Construction London & Home Counties business, where you will:
- The design and implementation of project specific Social Value Plans in collaboration with the regional Social Value Manager
- Implement and support the implementation of the aspects all Inclusion strategy, education and skills, community engagement and supply chain plans that sit within the Social Value Plan at project level
- Have a general awareness of the environmental themes along with low carbon and why they are important to the industry and society. To have an understanding of the environmental management plans to the extent that support can be provided to project teams in applying these to operational activities and where applicable to champion environmental improvement
- Focusing on Employment and Skills plan opportunities for people from the local borough
- Challenging the supply chain to ensure we maximise and fill the opportunities for apprentices, work experience placements on the project.
- Complete all internal and external monitoring and reports Look at ways to work with the community on the project to maximise the Considerate Constructors scheme requirements

- Develop links with local schools, colleges and universities to support their students through our projects Lead all external project communications (Newsletters, Project website update, project social media updates)
- Deal with any comments/ questions/ complaints on the project from residents as and when they arise in the most professional and efficient way. This will include going to residents' homes to meet with them to close out any issues arising.
- Keeping local councillors and project stakeholders updated on the project and any external communications.
- Implement, manage & take ownership of Social Value Plans for the Southern Home Counties region.
- Provide support and assist teams in meeting Social Value targets.
- Provide reports on progress to Senior Management
- Identify new innovative ways to meet and exceed customer requirements.
- Collate and report back to framework managers on progress.
- Identify concerns and solutions to enable teams to deliver Social Value requirements.
Ideally you will have:
Social Value experience within the main contracting market
Experience delivering presentations and liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders and partners
Good knowledge of the Southern Home Counties region
What they are looking for?
As an experienced Social Value Manager, you will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent and be highly competent in MS suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint). A good understanding of social value sector and its current themes. A good knowledge of systems and processes used to monitor and report Social Value, responsible businesses, education frameworks an understanding of LM3. You will also have a Full UK driving licence.
