Duties/Responsibilities
EMCOR UK are recruiting for a Plumber to be based in Liverpool.
The hours of work: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, call out Friday to Friday 1 in 6 or when required.
Job Purpose:
To assist with all aspects of the deliverables required by the EMCOR contracts. This includes Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Works, and minor works in accordance with both client and EMCOR Facilities Services requirements. To carry out planned preventative maintenance and repair to various site building services in line with the contract documentation.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Adherence to set standards in accordance with the Health and Safety procedures completion of risk assessments in conjunction with the team and ensure risk are minimized and reported accordingly.
- To carry out and ensure PPM is completed in accordance with set schedules, ensuring standards are maintained to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
- To carry out additional work / projects as required by line management.
- To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all reactive issues and help desk requests. To develop opportunities with customers to provide technical solutions to problems.
- To respond to callouts and cover breakdowns and emergencies as required by the contract. The role will require ad-hoc overtime working where workload dictates and the call out arrangements need monitoring and reacting to as and when required.
- Carry out any reasonable request from the management team.
- To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
- To be proactive in managing a set workload to avoid delays or failures in communication.
- To provide support and assistance to other members of the engineering team as deemed appropriate by line management.
- Support Hard Services team to complete site PPM`s and statutory inspections
- Provide assistance to visiting specialist service providers associated with their PPM schedules and reactive tasks.
- Willingness to undertake duties outside of those normally expected within a building services role.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain standard of workmanship.
- Able to carry out fault finding and diagnostics on a variety of building services equipment.
- Compliance with all site and EMCOR UK training
Resource Responsibilities:
- Legionella control within hot and cold water systems.
- Liaise with associated service providers and support when necessary.
- Maintain full compliance at all times.
- Real time logging of tasks via Mobile App
Person Specification
- Confidence and commitment to providing a high quality professional service
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- IT skills are essential to include reports and documentation to ALCOA+
- Effective problem solving skills
- Willingness and ability to work as a team member
- Knowledge of safe working systems
- Good level of interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
- Experience of maintaining mechanical building services.
- Gas Safe registered would be desirable but not essential.
- Previous pharmaceutical experience would be advantageous
- Knowledge of working within regulated environments
- Additional building maintenance skills
