As a Theatre Scrub Nurse/Theatre Practitioner, you will play a vital role in the operating theatre team, providing expert surgical assistance and support during a wide range of Orthopaedic procedures. Your responsibilities will include preparing the theatre, equipment, and instruments, assisting the surgical team, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
Theatre Scrub responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating theatre, equipment, and instruments according to the surgical procedure
- Assist the surgical team during Orthopaedic procedures, providing skilled support and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Adhere to infection control policies and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Accurately document patient information and maintain records in accordance with regulatory standards.
Shift Pattern Typically:
- Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with a valid professional license
- Experience working as a Theatre Scrub Nurse/Theatre Practitioner, preferably with a focus on Orthopaedics
- Sound knowledge of surgical procedures and the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a fast-paced operating theatre setting.
- Commitment to maintaining patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
