We are representing an opportunity for an experienced financial controller to join a business that is expanding both organically and through new acquisitions. Our client is a privately owned provider of temporary staffing solutions throughout the UK with a turnover in the region on 50m.

This role will report into the CFO, with four direct reports and a team of 20+ working in the group’s finance function.

The Financial Controller will play a critical role in helping the CFO in improve business processes providing a strong base for the next stage of growth as well as bringing necessary efficiencies.

Duties and skills required:

Maintain accurate and timely month end reporting process, including P&L, Balance Sheet and variance analysis.
Assisting the CFO in preparing board pack and other reports for the SMT and the board
Lead on the external audit process
Build good working relationship with the internal operations teams, external advisors and the banks
Managing, developing, monitoring and supporting the Finance team with a clear career progression route for each member of Finance team
A commercially astute professional with excellent communication skills, a proactive, self-starter who can work under pressure and deliver on the deadlines
Strong IT/excel and reporting skills, analytical minded with attention to detail.
