Job description

**Paint Sprayer **

**Salary ** : £27,000/annum

**Shift:** Monday Friday 07:00-16:00

**Location:** Coventry

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Surface Preparation:**

Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring proper adhesion and finish.

Apply primers, sealants, or other preparatory coatings as needed.

**Paint Mixing and Colour Matching:**

Mix paints to achieve desired colours and finishes.

Match colours to specified standards or samples provided by clients.

**Paint Application:**

Apply paint and coatings using various methods, including spraying, brushing, or rolling.

Ensure even coverage, smooth finishes, and adherence to project specifications.

**Quality Control:**

Conduct inspections to verify that painted surfaces meet quality standards.

Identify and address any defects, irregularities, or inconsistencies.

**Equipment Management:**

Maintain and clean painting equipment, such as spray guns, brushes, and rollers.

Perform routine inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal functionality.

**Material Management:**

Manage paint inventory, monitor usage, and reorder supplies as needed.

Minimize waste and ensure efficient use of materials.

**Troubleshooting:**

Identify and troubleshoot issues related to paint application or coating processes.

Implement corrective measures to address problems and improve efficiency.

**Safety Compliance:**

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.

Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices.

**Documentation:**

Maintain accurate records of paint formulations, colour matches, and application details.

Complete required documentation for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

**Customer Interaction:**

Communicate with clients, project managers, or other stakeholders to understand requirements.

Provide recommendations on paint types, finishes, and application methods.

**Qualifications and Skills:**

Proven experience as a Paint Technician or in a similar role.

Proficient knowledge of various paint types, coatings, and application techniques.

Strong colour matching skills and the ability to mix paints accurately.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.

Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols in the painting industry.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

**Education and Certifications:**

High school diploma or equivalent.

Vocational training or certification in painting, coatings, or a related field is advantageous.

**Physical Requirements:**

Ability to lift and move paint containers and equipment.

Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in various environments.
