Join us as the Experience Sussex Marketing Manager and become part of a brand-new team.
We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join us. This exciting new role will lead Experience Sussex's marketing programme to help achieve the overall development goals. You will be employed by West Sussex County Council.
Salary: £41,418 to £44,428 per annum.
Location: Flexibility in work location. A typical week will combine homeworking with attendance at in person team meetings or site visits across Sussex. This is led by the needs of the service.
Contract: Fixed-term contract, 2 years.
Working pattern: Part-time/Full-time, 29.5-37 hours per week. Flexible working options available, to be agreed with your line manager.
Employer Pension Contribution: 20.70% this alters per annum on the 1st April each year.
Annual leave: 30 days holiday + Bank holidays = 38 days .
Interviews : Interviews will be held in Lewes, East Sussex.
West Sussex County Council and East Sussex County Council have formed a strategic partnership to develop the visitor economy in Sussex. We will achieve this through the launch of Experience Sussex, which will focus on destination marketing and management to support our Plan for Growth.
As a Marketing Manager you will be responsible for leading the marketing and communication activities of Experience Sussex. Your main responsibilities will include promoting Sussex as an exceptional tourist destination to specific target audiences, as well as creating captivating campaigns and content to encourage visitors to plan a trip.

This role is suitable for someone who understands the importance of knowing your audiences, through research, data and analysis and driving results through hands on day-to-day delivery.
The postholder will be part of a brand-new team, building on existing successes whilst bringing new opportunities to residents, visitors and businesses.
The postholder will be expected to fulfil statutory responsibilities and duties, ensuring that professional matters and projects align with the broader objectives of both the County Councils in a customer-focused manner.
