Clinical Leader - Ward (CYP)
Guildford Hospital | Nursing | Permanent Contract | Full Time
Up to £45,000.00 - £50,000.00 per annum depending on experience
37.5 hours per week

As the Clinical Leader - Ward (CYP) at our Guildford Hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you have the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. With excellent leadership skills, you hold post-registration experience in care of patients, pre and post operatively.
As a Clinical Leader - Ward (CYP), you will:
Co-ordinate activity and be responsible for patient care and safety
Be instrumental to the patient experience, ensuring seamless, personalised care for young patients and their family.
Work well with consultants who are experts in their field
Apply your knowledge and skills in assessment, care planning and delivery
Champion a supportive, enabling working culture on the ward, promoting staff safety
Be an expert in Safeguarding for children and young people
Work closely with the Quality Lead for CYP services to ensure policy is imbedded across the hospital
Support provision of paediatric basic life support training for nursing staff

Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital provides high-quality healthcare working with leading Consultants to offer a range of services and treatments for preventing, diagnosing and treating a wide array of medical conditions and offer a wide range of complex surgery and services. We are proud to have received a "good" rating from the health care regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our facilities include 49 en-suite patient bedrooms, 4 operating theatres, acute dependency and oncology units. We've been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark for cancer care and our Endoscopy service has achieved JAG accreditation. Our site is shared with an NHS Trust hospital, giving us access to their facilities. The working atmosphere is highly professional and stimulating, yet friendly and collaborative like that of a large family unit. The hospital is easily accessible from the A3 or M25 and we are located about 1.5 miles from Guildford town centre.
