FULL DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking for a Materials Cataloguer for a contract position, located in Aberdeen.
ROLE
Provide materials cataloguing in support of UK Operations. Act as a focal point for the business regarding material mastering issues. Liaise with suppliers on issues relating to Material Master Queries. Ensure that all material master requests are completed and processed in accordance with UKMS material mastering process. Build effective working relationships with User Groups. Monitor the performance of the originators of the material master requests to identify deficiencies in the information being supplied.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the creation of SAP Material Masters to nomenclature from Vendor SPIL packages / datasheets & interrogation of information provided.
- Responsible for allocation of stock settings to critical & operational spares as defined by repairs and spares strategy.
- Maintain Material Master system identifying anomalies.
- Work with external project teams to close out maintenance projects and ensure compliance with Supply chain processes.
- Maintain all operational and drilling materials for new and existing projects including Golden Eagle project, Buzzard and Scott platforms, new country entries, and 3rd party material.
- Work with plant maintenance and equipment manufacturers to ensure bills of material are up to date, eliminating obsolescence and verifying manufacturers details. − Liaise with asset management team to identify any potential management of change / safety issues at source and ensuring that materials sourced are to correct asset specification.
- Actively participate in the achievement of Departmental KPI’s as set out by management. − Assist in other Inventory departmental duties or activities as may be required by the Management.
- Actively adhere to the Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery policies, procedures and processes to ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained and exposure to liability or risk to CPEL’s reputation is minimised. If necessary, report possible violations or conflicts of interest. − Actively adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable Quality policies, procedures, processes and systems.
- Take an active part in quality improvement processes. Identify and report any deficiencies to supervisor and obtain authorisation for any deviations from standard procedures.
- Actively comply with all applicable Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and processes. Promote HSE awareness; take responsibility and be accountable for own safety and safety of others.
- Demonstrate the personal application of HSE procedures in daily performance.
- Set annual goals and objectives and ensure they are met annually.
REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive material management experience in Oil and Gas industry.
- Solid understanding of the oil and gas industry repairs principles and practices.
- High level of commercial awareness and fully developed analytical skills.
- Understanding of operational plans and priority management.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Assertiveness/Ability to articulate clearly. − Numerate, analytical and logical.
- Good organisational skills.
- Effective relationship-builder at all levels, internally and externally.
- Familiar with SAP ERP
- Preferable have a Business Degree or CIPS
- Proven ability to be able to prioritise workload to support Safety and Business critical scope
