Job description

The Traders Arms in Blackburn are recruiting for an Apprentice Chef. The successful candidate will work towards their Level 2 Production Chef qualification which will take approximately 16 months to complete.

Job duties will include:
• Assisting with the preparation and production of fresh food
• Made to order dishes
• Shadowing and learning from the head chef
• General kitchen duties
• All aspects of food safety, how to store and prepare food safely for our customers
• Transform a set of ingredients into amazing food
• All aspects of baking
• Safely use commercial kitchen equipment
• Allergen awareness

Requirements:
• Weekend work on a rota basis
• Please note this role will be split shifts
• Confident to work in a fast pace environment and able work under pressure.
• Clean and hygienic
• Willingness to learn and have a passion for food
• Reliable and hard working
• Teamworking

Rota basis / Earliest start time 10:00am - Latest finish 10:00pm / flexible breaks / 30 hours per week
