About Our Client
Our client is a prominent professional services firm headquartered in Liverpool who offer a wide range of services to the client portfolio.
Job Description
- Completing Bank reconciliations, liaising with clients via phone and email to obtain missing information and explanations for transactions within the records
- Prepare financial reports and statements alongside providing book-keeping services to clients & completion of VAT returns.
- Perform account reconciliations & payment of invoices.
- Maintain accurate financial records & Manage petty cash transactions.
- Ensure the Manager or relevant senior staff member associated with the client is kept informed of progress and that accurate time records are maintained for billing purposes
- Exposure to software systems such as - Xero, Quickbooks Online, Dext, SYFT, CCH and Sage Accounts 50.
- Support roll out and training with clients in use of Cloud systems and deal with telephone queries referring to this.
- Provide ad-hoc to support to junior members in the team as required.
- Occasional assistance in preparing and/or updating forecasts, mainly using Castaway.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Associate should have:
- AAT qualified or working towards completion.
- Relevant experience in the preparation of accounts (either management or financial).
- Relevant book-keeping and VAT experience.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite.
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
