About the Role:
The main focus of all things IT in the London office. You are the go-to individual for anything IT related, be it a problem with a laptop to needing some software installed. Working with the rest of the UK team you will provide 1st line support for all issues be it from walk ups to tickets logged on the system making sure that everyone is looked after as quickly as possible whilst making sure that their issues have been resolved. Meeting room and AV support for all users is also required to help connect to calls or share content and you will be the main lead when it comes to supporting the Leadership team for larger meetings like the London Business updates and Hack weeks. All hardware and software is maintained on site so making sure all spare kit is imaged ready and the right general office equipment is in stock for users be it current or new hires. You are also one of the first people that all new hires will meet on their first day as you run the London IT induction for all new employees.
Role is based on-site in Battersea, London office 5 days a week.
Here are some of the exciting things you’ll get to do:
- Day to Day general IT support of the London office
- IT inductions for new hires
- AV & Meeting Room Support
- Printer support
- Active Directory management – Adding/Updating/Removing users and groups
- Basic Networking support like patching and working with the network team in Canada to maintain systems
- Additional Event support as and when required
- Keeping the digital signage and Videowall product videos updated as and when
- Ordering and maintaining IT equipment including new laptops and phones to peripherals
- Helping out users running general maintenance on equipment when possible
- Updating online portals such as mobile phone contracts
- Working closely with onsite management to make sure they are getting the support required
- Support for Security maintaining the security systems for passes and door access / Envoy setup
- Working closely with the different teams to help share and troubleshoot issues
- Support users with Apple and Android mobile devices
- Troubleshoot user problems related to in house business systems
- Troubleshoot and repair standalone PC’s, printers, Mac’s and other equipment
- Install new PC’s/Mac and printers and other equipment as needed
- Suggests and recommends run for cables, etc. to facilitate computer hook-ups
- Office 365 admin access / Microsoft Office 365 proficient (Word, Excel, PP)
- Maintain accurate inventory of all components.
- Expedite damaged/defective components for repair or replacement.
- Place service calls and follow up as required.
- Use a ticketing software (Jira) to manage own queue
Here are some of the things you’ll bring:
- 4+ years Background in Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- 4+ years Experience in system administration or a similar role.
- Familiarity with Office365 back end.
- Proficiency in managing Windows and Mac environments.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, security, and best practices
- Strong AV skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Happy to go above and beyond when needed and to explore new tech that might benefit the business
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft etc) are a plus.
- Experience of using various Microsoft programs
- Experience using IT Solutions:
- Experience with using a Ticketing Management Solution
