What's the role?

We are looking for a motivated data and/or business analyst who is looking for a challenge and an opportunity to become corner stone in helping drive business forward through valuable business reporting and would like to join our vibrant Regional Finance Hub in Manchester.

In this role you will use your database management, reporting and analytical skills to support the delivery of all reporting activities across the Northern Europe Region composed of six countries. You’ll need to be curious and pro-active team-player to deliver excellent support for our stakeholders ranging from Analysts to General Managers, as well as innovative thinker who is always looking to explore leaner more efficient ways of driving business insights.

What does the role involve?

In this role you will execute and further develop all required reportingactivities for the Northern Europe region and its sales organisations,utilising technologies to retrieve and manipulate data such as SQL, PowerQueries and Business Objects Analytics, visualise data via Power BI and SAPAnalytics Cloud.

Since this role is placed within Finance function you’ll be tasked withcreating business specific transparency of financial results and business performanceand will help contribute towards performance management for the region viareporting efficiency and data excellence.

In this role we do not want you just to report on the results but go stepfurther and act as a business support representing reporting function. With awide range of stakeholders across finance and wider HILTI business we arelooking to optimise business steering, via value-added reporting, aiming to actas a consultant to our stakeholders.

Accuracy and attention to detail will be key, you will need to always challengeand stress data integrity. Depending on time of the year workload will varysince role requires support of annual, quarterly, and monthly reporting cyclesin an accurate and timely way. Our Regional Head Office is based at Circle Square in Central Manchester, where we are located a short walk from Oxford Rd train station and St Peter's Square tram stop. We offer a hybrid working pattern between the office and home and different ways to work flexibly so please feel free to talk about what flexibility means to you at your interview.

What you need is:

Education: Bachelor or Master’s degree in finance, computer science, business, or economics

Experience: previous experience in a similar role or through an internship/work placement. Understanding of finance/business topics is desirable.

Technical skills: database building skills using SQL or other tools such as MS Access. Understanding of SAP S/4 HANA, and visualisation tools SAP Analytics Cloud and/or Power BI

Other skills: good communication skills with the sense of working in the team, critical thinking, analytical problem-solving skills
