Deputy Pathology Manager - blood sciences Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital | Pathology | Permanent | Full time Up to £44,750 per annum, depending on experience 37.5 hours per week To look after the nation's heath, we must provide the highest standards of care. As our Deputy Pathology Hub Manager at our Brentwood Hospital, you will be responsible for supporting management of a multi-site Pathology hub and spoke network ensuring the delivery of a high quality diagnostic testing service across three Nuffield Health Clinical Sites in the London and South East region (Brentwood, Cambridge and Ipswich) and supporting our other service delivery agreements in a further three sites. Travel is expected to these sites mostly in a planned way, but with occasional need to respond to an urgent issue at any one of the sites in the hub. As our Deputy Pathology Manager you will bring the relevant qualifications and laboratory experience in multidisciplinary science. You have a good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of techniques. You are also a natural communicator and team player and you share our idea of quality. Deliver high-quality pathology services To supervise and take responsibility for the day to day planning and co-ordination of core work principally ensuring that the hub and spoke laboratories run efficiently To assist in the recruitment, training and supervision of Pathology staff Perform biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation, reporting and quality control Support the validation and assessment of new equipment and new diagnostic procedures To support the department Quality Management system meeting regulatory and accreditation requirements To succeed as a Deputy Pathology Manager, you will need: To be a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist Postgraduate/Masters qualification in the relevant area Great communication skills Significant and relevant post registration experience, including multi-disciplinary working, with at least two years experience as a Senior Biomedical Scientist Helping you feel good.
