Job description
We are seeking an inspirational Food and Nutrition teacher who has the ability to teach and manage Food up to GCSE. Most importantly we are looking for someone who is keen to develop as a teacher. They will be able to share their enjoyment with students by employing a range of teaching strategies as an outstanding classroom practitioner – strategies which provide for challenge, motivation and high student expectations. They must be able and confident to teach, engage and enthuse students of all aptitudes in this high-achieving grammar school, including the most able. They should be appropriately qualified to meet health and safety requirements to operate in a well-equipped Food room. They will be willing to get involved with extra-curricular activities to do with enriching the students’ experience of Food and Nutrition more generally.

This is a part-time post (approximately 0.9fte) and arises due to the retirement of the current part-time Head of Food and the resignation of the other part-time teacher due to family commitments. There is the potential for this to rise to a full-time role going forward.
