Maintenance Engineer
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Excellent Benefits + Prospects +Overtime/Fantastic Pension Scheme We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in Malton, North Yorkshire. As a Maintenance Engineer,you will be responsible for undertaking electro-mechanical repairs, maintaining plant facilities, and providing support to the operations team. If you have a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, along with experience in PLC-controlled systems and troubleshooting, we want to hear from you!
Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities * Perform electro-mechanical repairs to a PLC-controlled plant, handling and conveying equipment, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
* Maintain plant facilities and services, including compressed air systems.
* Input to and carry out preventive and predictive maintenance routines to ensure optimal performance.
* Support the operations team in achieving targets and maintaining efficient operations.
* Work closely with equipment suppliers on new equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
* Demonstrate initiative and observance in detecting faults and taking appropriate action based on judgement.
* Ensure cleanliness and organisation of work areas, including transit areas, workshop, and stores.
* Actively participate in training and development activities to enhance cross-skilling and job-related competencies.
* Contribute to the maintenance management system (CMMS) by accurately recording changes, stores transactions, and work carried out.
Maintenance Engineer Requirements: * Trades qualification in an engineering discipline.
* Strong mechanical and electrical background, with a primary skill focus on electrical/mechanical systems.
* Demonstrated multi-skilled and cross-skilled ethos.
* Aptitude for process awareness and experience in diagnostic/troubleshooting gained in a high-volume environment.
Must be available for various shifts including nights / weekends.
