Job description
What you will do in your working day
We will provide training however a basic knowledge of the concepts for IT support and end-user support are important for this role. Day to day duties include:
- 1st line triage of issues
- Logging and recording helpdesk tickets and taking phone calls
- Immediate response to basic issues
- Troubleshooting and pinpointing the issue prior to 2nd line escalation
- A variety of start and close of day tasks
- Following a structured Service Level Agreement with a large SEN school in Leicester

Delivery Method
- Our delivery model includes a 1 day per week college attendance on a Friday for training and development of skills, knowledge and behaviours and 1:1 support from your trainer assessor in the workplace and will include assignments, work-based company projects and self-study. The majority of your time will be based with the employer.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
The opportunity for a continuing role within the business, extending to development into 2nd line support and project management experience.
