Lead Fire & Security Engineer
Location : Hampshire
Salary : £40,000-£45,000
Working hours : 8:00-16:30
Our client, Founded in 1970 and based in the South of England, has a National reach with operational centres located in Hampshire and Lancashire, and strategically placed locksmith branches in the south, midlands, and northwest! They are a family-run business with a BIG reputation. They have been providing extensive expertise in fire safety and security solutions for over half a century and are looking for an Operations Manager based in Hampshire to join their over growing team!
Our client is certified by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) to their Gold standard, the highest level, for Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Fire Alarms. For Fire Alarms they are also BAFEregistered and members of the Fire Industry Association (FIA). This means that the systems they specify meet all the industry best practices.
Your responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and fault-finding on various systems.
- Maintain a positive company image and update service records.
- Supervise a team, ensuring health & safety compliance.
- Collaborate with clients for system improvements.
- Offer technical support and guide issue resolution.
Skills Requirements
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge in multiple areas: Intruder, Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control.
- Previous supervisory experience would be preferred, Leadership Orientation – Actively seeks ways in which to act as a role model, guide, develop, and mentor others, as well as provide strong team leadership, team building, and facilitation skills.
- Customer Focus – Maintaining awareness of and seeking to meet the needs and wants of the customer.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Initiative – Engages in proactive behaviour and looks for new project opportunities.
- Adaptability – Responds effectively to changes in situation or information.
- Strong financial analytical skills including cost control.
- Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and Power Point skills Education.
Security clearance ability
- FIA Units 1, 4 & 5.
- Industry-recognized qualifications.
- Strong maintenance and service skills.
- Excellent time management and mentorship ability.
