Based in Stoke Newington, London N16, we are a warm family seeking a full-time live-out SEND Nanny to provide respite care and support for our son. SEND training is available. Our current nanny, whom we will miss dearly, is returning to Northern England.
About us: Our bouncy son loves laughter and is tickled pink by songs, music and physical play. Buses, trains, cars and exploring new places are high on his list of favourite things. He is a non-speaking, autistic 9-year-old who uses a speech-generating device to communicate. He needs support with daily care activities and has a sensory aversion to many foods. We are a family of five, including a mellow and loving dog, a golden retriever. About the role: After school, you'll take our son swimming, trampolining, yoga, and exploring places across London. You'll integrate activities to progress his development in your daily activities. While he is at school, you'll bulk cook, do light housekeeping or engage in projects to support our son's development. About you: We are looking for a caring and experienced nanny who is child-led and observant. Being welcoming to people with a disability and animal-friendly is essential. (Note: there are no dog-related responsibilities for this role.) SEND experience is not necessary but very helpful. Being neurodivergent, creative, musical or playful is a plus.Job tags
