Job description

A Trainee Accountant is required for an independent Accountancy Practice looking to expand their existing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to commence or advance your accountancy career.

This is a varied and challenging role, where the Trainee Accountant will benefit from a professional working office with free parking and a supportive working culture. You will be immersed into the existing teams and benefit from the wealth of knowledge from your peers. This role would be suit an AAT studier or Graduate who has preferably gained some prior Accountancy practice experience.

Exposure to cloud-based accountancy software would be a distinct advantage.

AAT and Full ACCA study support is available with this position.

Duties and Responsibilities of Trainee Accountant

Preparation and completion of Limited Company accounts.
Preparation of management accounts.
Preparation of VAT Returns under different VAT schemes.
Bookkeeping duties.
Dealing with ad hoc queries raised by clients.
Experience with Cloud based accountancy software.
Ability to reconcile all control accounts.
Understanding of Companies Act disclosures for Financial Statements.
Liaising with clients via telephone and email and offering a superior customer service.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to reach team targets.

Working hours Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week.
