BUYER | MANCHESTER | DOE £35,000 - £45,000
We are partnering with a multi-product business as they look for their next Buyer. This business has had many milestone years and they wish to continue their success as they set their sights on next year.
You will need to be an experienced Buyer who has a proven track record of working well under pressure. In this role you will explore your love for product in a creative & collaborative environment where you will be given the tools to have full autonomy of your department.
AS THE BUYER:
- You will have developed BAA's, AB's and/or Junior Buyers
- Implemented new ways of working to improve efficiencies
- On boarding new suppliers
- Supplier visits - Europe & Far East
- Led strategy meetings
Responsibilities include:
- Building lessons learnt
- Clear ability to communicate Best & Worst indicators and building strategy points from these learnings
- Ability to set clear commercial ranges from history & newness
- Confident presenter
- Ability to set pricing architectures for product categories with merchandiser
- Plan with Merchandiser buys and build well-balanced ranges
- Experience with trading from the Far East and closer to home (short & long lead experience required)
- Maintain supplier relationships
- Onboarding new suppliers to the business
- Ability to source new fabrics and trims
- Experience with international travel for both inspiration and supplier trips
- Experience of test and trial methods to drive newness and profit
- Clear trading examples where margin and sales have grown
- Manage Monday Trade reports and key actions for your department
- Oversee the wider team for critical path and delivery schedule
- Manage and prepare for product launches
- Work with SLT on business wide critical paths for key meetings & trips
- Conduct cross costing projects to protect %
