About The Team
You’ll be leading the creative team within the larger marketing department, while working closely with cross-functional leaders in Marketing.
The Creative departments primary goal is to help more people discover the benefits of Janes and build a stronger understanding of Janes through multiple channels. Creative design works on initiatives that educate and build interest in Janes incredible technology offering, in close collaboration with other teams, such as Marketing, Product, and Sales.
This role will report to the Chief marketing officer and work alongside the head of product marketing and head of digital marketing technology and operations to push the global brand in prominence and revenue.
About The Role
As the Head of Creative, you would have a rare opportunity to shape and mature a brand alongside the other marketing leads, contributing to international global security and defence organisations. That comes with great responsibility and requires care on top of all the technical and leadership skills.
Janes offering is a both complex and nuanced: needing to build, curate and nurture brand sentiment across different countries and channels. Prospective candidates should show a demonstrated track record across multiple domains, including physical and digital mediums and multi-channel campaigns.
You'll drive creative excellence from start to finish, leading a team of creatives and managing relationships with external agencies to deliver all creative and brand outputs. Partnering closely with Marketing and working with all departments, you will continue to champion Janes as an industry leader.
You are a craftsperson who leads by example, supporting your team in creating and encouraging growth. It’s a strategic leadership role with a love of design and creativity, being able to create expert design across print, digital, video and web. Your mission
- Deliver business impact through creative work and translating company objectives into creative outputs.
- Leading on the creative team on global brand campaigns, graphic design, web design, video production, podcasts, merchandise.
- Lead on Janes visual brand design, motion design and digital design alongside the CMO to deliver excellence at scale.
- Lead, mentor, and manage an internal team and run operations with external agencies.
- Drive innovation, drawing on cultural, industry, and market trends, as well as new science and technology advances.
- Partner with leaders across the business to support Janes mission, contributing positively to company culture and work process.
Your experience
- Have an inspiring portfolio showcasing expertise in creative strategy, advertising and social media, film, web design, and visual storytelling across different channels. Experience with a wide range of content types.
- A great communicator and team player, being able to increase morale and teamwork.
- Prioritise people’s needs, prototyping and testing your ideas in close connection to your customers to showcase humancentric design.
- Have a growth mindset role model who cultivates a culture of learning and mentors directs.
- Be able to communicate honestly and with respect on team feedback, delivering on projects when things are going well and when they aren’t.

Requirements
Technical requirements
- Knowledge of Brand expression and converting strategic direction into visual expression
- Expert knowledge on Adobe Creative Suite; primarily, illustrator, After effects, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere pro
- Using and owning project management Software. Previous experience of Wrike is a plus
- Expert skill set in Video production from start to end
- Experience in Podcast production
- Knowledge of Blender or similar 3D software
- Managing company scale content libraries and Creative cloud libraries
- Experience in managing and using video templates
- Coordinating with external vendors and agencies to deliver marketing materials
- Creating professional animated PowerPoint decks and word documents and building office templates to use across the company
- Producing and maintaining a library of merchandise for use globally
- In depth graphic design knowledge and work in multiple mediums; Print, Digital, OOD advertising
- Knowledge using prototyping software Figma or XD
- Proficient in data analytic software and report building in HubSpot
- Knowledge in market and design research
- Presentation and public speaking skills
- Knowledge of Google Analytics is a plus
- Knowledge of DemandBase is a plus
- Understanding of managing SharePoint and designing is a plus
- Working experience with managing Teams channels is a plus
- Knowledge of AR is a plus
