Job description

Would you like to join a charity that has won awards for being a great employer (Investors in People Gold). They walk the walk, with 28 days plus bank holidays and 10% match pension (not to mention glowing glass door reviews by employees).

This role is delivering group work sessions to young people aged 16 – 19 who are from Afghanistan and Ukraine. The aim is to provide them support, guidance, employability & life skills. So, you might cover subjects such as CV writing, registering for a GP, accessing education courses such as IT or ESOL

You will be based working out of a Community Centre. Your working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 – 5, but delivery of group work would typically be 10 – 4, four days a week, with a day set up for 121 coaching and support. It’s a 12-week programme that will be running (so every 12 weeks you get a new cohort of young people to work with), and there will be 10 – 12 people in each cohort.

To apply, you must have worked within the field of employability, skills or health & wellbeing and will have some experience of delivering group work. You might have previously worked as a teacher, trainer, tutor, employment advisor, wellbeing coach, job coach or careers advisor.

Please apply via this advert – everyone gets a response. And if by chance you haven’t had a response (or just want to talk to someone about the role), feel free to call the office and ask for James (number on the Red 5 People website).

Please note, the salary scale is between £24, 600 - £30, 300 per annum depending upon experience. Please also note, the official job title of the role is a Project Officer.
