We are currently accepting applications for the position of Management Accountant / Divisional Accountant to join our team based in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Job Purpose

The main purpose of this position is to oversee all the day to day financial activities of AJT Engineering including daily management of the finance team and to ensure that all deadlines are adhered to.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Preparation of month end management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations.
• Preparation and submission of weekly cash-flow forecasts to corporate.

• Submission of quarterly VAT returns.

• Oversee purchase and sales ledger functions.

• Monthly payroll processing & liaise with payroll bureau (AAB).
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks / activities as requested.

Qualifications, Experience & Abilities:

• Experience of working in a management accounting role preferred.
• Relevant accountancy qualification preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to use relevant software packages including: Microsoft Excel, Word, Sage 200.
• Accuracy with record keeping and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to deal with customer/supplier queries and general enquiries.

Working Hours: This is a full-time role based on 38 hours per week.
