Our client, an expanding and growing IT company, are looking to recruit an IT Service Desk Executive to join their dynamic and friendly team in Crawley.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong Microsoft skills and a passion or interest in IT to learn valuable and lifelong skills as they provide IT support for a hardworking team.

Responsibilities as an IT Service Desk Executive

Reporting to the IT & Service Desk Manager / Service Desk Lead you will work as a “First touch” call handler whilst training towards a 1st line service desk technician skillset & undertaking ongoing training on technology solutions potentially to degree standard plus managed print and IT services solutionsLearn service desk process & best practice to deliver a consistently high level & accountable client experienceGain knowledge of managed print hardware & software solutions with regards to installation, troubleshooting & support being able to assist and escalate to software vendors as necessary ensuring any fault or issue is resolved in timely fashionLook after managed print consumables & stock levels arranging timely delivery to clientsAttend all technical training courses keeping to a set study roadmap plus keep product & process knowledge regularly updatedVisit client sites if needed in a support capacityUndertake other duties appropriate to the post as directed by line managementTo support in any ad hoc project as requested and deemed necessary to support the business

Experience / Skills

Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grace C or above (or equivalent)Excellent communication skills – confident handling client support callsAbility to process and interpret complex informationStrong prioritisation skillsFlexible worker / Team PlayerAbility to use Microsoft (Word, Excel and Publisher)Full UK Driving Licence
