Job description

We are delighted to offer the opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Head of Technology to join our successful and dedicated team on a permanent basis from September 2024. 

The successful applicant will be expected to teach across KS3 to KS5 and work closely with SLT to develop the leadership and educational provision within the department. Technology is compulsory for all students from Year 7 through to the end of Year 9 as well as being a popular choice at GCSE and A Level. There is a team of 4 currently within the department, including 3 Teachers and 1 Technician. Line management of this team is key to the role, as is the need to work collaboratively with colleagues across Trust on a range of projects, supporting the overall learning and development of the department. 

The post holder will want to ensure that all children in the school achieve, whatever their starting point, and will be fully committed to going above and beyond to ensure our students receive the very best in terms of opportunity, education and care. This position is suited to someone who has previous middle leadership experience or has lead on projects within the Arts Curriculum who is looking for the next step in their leadership career.
