Job description

Recra are working in partnership with a market managing fleet company. Our client is looking for a talented and motivated Vehicle Technician to join their dynamic team. As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a key role in our client’s success by being a part in keeping London safe, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, maintenance, repair, and servicing of our customer’s fleet.

• Service, inspection, maintenance and repair of diverse fleet of vehicles, including prestige cars, light vehicles, large vans, trailers and mechanical aids and heavy goods vehicles.
• Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
• Welding and metal working
• Department of Transport (MOT) preparation & testing duties
• Completing job cards, booking of parts and consumables using our electronic platform
• Support team members including Apprentice Technicians as required
• Accurately record time and details of completed jobs
• Other work within normal grade/job skills as required
• Ad-hoc duties as required
• Health and safety at work and workshop cleanliness is of paramount importance

Qualifications/skills: 

• Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance Repair, or considered qualified by experience
• Excellent customer service mindset
• Great communication skills
• Ability to work quickly and effectively
• Must be hardworking and self-motivated and a productive Technician
• Ability to tackle all aspects of repair and servicing
• Diagnostics skills/qualifications – desirable
• Fleet experience
