Job description
Are you a qualified electrician? Do you have experience in critical environments either in maintenance or installation? My client are seeking a number of qualified electricians / maintenance engineers who are wanting a new challenge, This position is based on a large critical site close to Farnborough. Working shift patterns 4 on 4 off 7am-7pm/7pm-7am. They are offering a generous salary, package and extensive training. The package will include: Competitive salary upto £50k Pension OT Various company benefits / discounts On going training and progression Responsibilities: Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of data centre equipment and systems. Perform preventive maintenance tasks and respond to emergency issues promptly. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. Monitor and maintain data centre security, including access control systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and improve operational processes. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and service reports.Requirements: Previous experience working in building maintenance, ideally in a critical environment such as a data centre. Solid knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and fire suppression. Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues with electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, TIA-942, Uptime Institute Tier Standards). Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
