Job description
In order to develop and expand the capabilities of SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK, we are looking to recruit an MRB Engineer to support developments of Safran Nacelles. The role is based in Burnley 5 days a week on a one year fixed term employment contract, with the possibility to extend.
As an MRB Composites engineer, you will provide technical support to production in regards to the technical processing of non-conformities and you will develop methodologies. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting and overseeing the technical processing of non-conformities in accordance with Safran procedures and customer requirements, in direct collaboration with experts and wider team.
- Ensuring production support.
- Systematizing analysis of recurring cases for the implementation of improvement plans (based on criteria, generic notes related to calculations and expert professions, ECR, etc.).
- Drafting elements to be exported to clients in compliance with existing delegations.
- Responding to customer feedback and inquiries.
- Characterizing and systematizing the analysis of customer feedback for the implementation of improvement plans and the capitalization of best practices.
- Participating in customer audits.
- Participating in department rituals (QRQC, Dare Your Ideas, IGP, etc.).
- Other duties and responsibilities required by the team and line management
Requirements
Knowledge:
- Blueprint reading (functional tolerance).
- Use and consultation of tools such as PLM/CATIA.
- Knowledge of composite materials and their applications.
- Knowledge of assembly processes and/or calculations and/or methods is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify underlying causes of non-conformities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with relevant tools and software for the technical evaluation of products.
- Aerospace experience desirable and not mandatory
Education and Experience:
- University degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Practical experience in roles related to MRB activities or technical disposition.
