Currently, we're in search of a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join us in developing bespoke machinery solutions. In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing and advancing state-of-the-art automation systems aimed at optimizing manufacturing processes and delivering outstanding outcomes for our clientele. Collaboration with cross-functional teams comprising electrical engineers, project managers, and control system engineer, will be integral to ensuring the successful execution of automation projects.

Due to an extended period of exponential growth, we are looking for a Mechanical design engineer to join our team and take leadership of significant projects for the business.

About The Mechanical Design Engineer Role

You will be responsible developing overseeing design process on major projects and contributing mechanically to design work across the business.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for:

• Collaborate on efficient mechanical designs for bespoke automation, meeting project needs.
• Create 3D models, drawings, and simulations using CAD software.
• Verify structural integrity and choose materials based on functionality.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely component delivery.
• Assess feasibility, propose solutions for design issues.
• Integrate mechanical and electrical components for system functionality.
• Support manufacturing with technical guidance and quality checks.
• Work with project managers for timely, budget-compliant delivery.
• Stay updated on automation trends for innovative solutions.

A successful Mechanical Design Engineer will need:

• Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or BEng/MEng in Engineering.
• 2+ years' experience in mechanical design or machine supply technical environments.
• Proficiency in automation or material handling industries.
• Clean Driving License.
