Higher Scientific Officer

• Belfast, County Antrim
• Up to £17.09 per hour

Main Duties

• Contribute to the delivery of a Triple A project, for Atmospheric Dispersion / Air Pollution Modeller
• Model data gathered over 3 years using WindTrax or AeroMod modelling software packages.
• Data analysis, reporting and subsequent results publication in high impact-factor journals.
• This role may also require the presentation of results to government, industry, and other stakeholders.

The successful HSO will report to the SSO/PSO leading the Triple A project.

Specific Experience / Qualifications required

Level 5 (Foundation Degree) or equivalent in a scientific discipline  AND 1 year experience in relevant field
OR
Level 4 or equivalent (HNC)  AND 2 years’ experience in relevant field

A willingness to participate in work in a field and/or laboratory environment.

Experience of managing large datasets and/or experience in modelling, especially dispersion modelling, would be desirable.To apply send your CV via link to Hollie
