Technology is an essential part of our business and as we look to scale rapidly in the automotive sector, we are searching for exceptional engineers to build, evolve and run our platform. Our goal is to transform the future of automotive e-commerce for our OEM clients. If you are an enthusiastic junior engineer looking to gain experience within a fast-moving tech company then we would love to hear from you!

As a Mid-Level front-end engineer within our product engineering team, you will be responsible for planning and driving, production ready customer experiences across our SaaS platform and products. Our frontend applications are built using JavaScript (Typescript), React, Next.js and Nx. Our platform is cloud native and we use Kubernetes extensively (AKS) to run our applications and services.

Overall, we are not precious about specific technology and are always looking to use the most appropriate technology to achieve our goals.

Main duties will include:

• Building features in the right way by working with your fellow team members to complete technical tasks and deliver production ready features continuously. We value clean, modular code with high levels of test automation to ensure we maintain excellent quality levels across the platform.
• Using your engineering expertise (languages, frameworks and design patterns) to work with your fellow team members and playing a key senior role in helping shape/design elegant solutions to deliver value across the platform.
• Continuously reviewing, approving, and releasing changes across our SaaS platform.
• Ensuring everything you build is production ready and observable. We constantly strive for production excellence and believe in building a true DevOps culture where engineers run what they build.
• Working closely with the product team and contributing to both ideation and product discovery. Paying close attention to detail with a passion for outstanding user experience design.

About you

• Strong foundation engineering skills. Proficient with version control (Git), automated testing and continuous integration/delivery within container-based environments.
• Strong front-end JavaScript programming skills (with a preference for TypeScript) and proficient with modern web frameworks. Solid understanding of functional, component-based web development using ReactJS, NextJS and styled components.
• Strong web design skills and highly proficient in building mobile first, responsive web apps using elegant CSS. An appreciation of core web vitals and optimising for loading, interactivity, accessibility and visual stability.
• Track record of delivering delightful web experiences with a good eye for design.
• A positive, proactive and energetic attitude to help us transform the digital automotive buying experience!

Salary range: £35,000 to£45,000 per annum
