Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location:Just outside of Guildford, Surrey

Salary:£55,000 - £65,000 per annum, plus private health insurance and benefits

Our client, a rapidly growing renewable energy business located just outside of Guildford, is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Electrical Engineer to join their innovative team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the design and development of cutting-edge electrical systems in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, particularly EN 60204.
2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, project managers, and external contractors to deliver high-quality electrical solutions that meet project requirements and objectives.
3. Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of electrical systems, identifying opportunities for optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction.
4. Provide technical expertise and guidance on electrical engineering principles and best practices, supporting the development of junior engineers and team members.
5. Manage and oversee the execution of electrical engineering projects, from concept through to commissioning and handover, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project schedules and budgets.
6. Conduct thorough testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, resolving any issues or discrepancies to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
7. Stay updated on the latest advancements and trends in renewable energy technology and electrical engineering, integrating new innovations and methodologies into project designs and solutions.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
2. Proven experience in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
3. Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering principles, practices, and standards, with specific experience in compliance with EN 60204.
4. Experience working with DC voltages, including design, testing, and troubleshooting.
5. Proficiency in electrical design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
7. Valid driving license, as travel to project sites may be required due to the remote nature of the business.
