Job description
What you'll be working: Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm Home based - with travel across Hampshire / Wiltshire/ Dorset and surrounding counties What you'll be doing: TheClinical Competency Trainer will have responsibility of completing, competency based training to support their clients/patients complex needs, working to enhance their ability to live independently at home in conjunction with other team members. The type of training is various, skilling SWs in for example. non-invasive ventilation and cough assist, various bladder and catheter competencies, blood glucose and insulin comps, and tracheostomy/ventilation competencies. Evidence delegation of clinical skills to Support Workers/ other team members in line with company policy Ensure that all support workers assigned to our clients/patients have up to date competencies. Ability to deal calmly and accurately with safeguarding issues. Communicate with all scheduling teams and Care Manager teams about risks within care packages on a daily basis Visiting clients/patients in own homes to teach competencies, assuring they are safe and problem solving any issues. Ensuring accurate documentation by support workers at all times Noticing whether support workers appear overwhelmed by their role and ensuring their welfare is a priority especially if they are lone workers. Completing risk assessments accordingly. This is a diverse & interesting role and as well as leadership qualities, it will need someone who can think laterally and see the bigger picture of the World of Complex Care. What you'll have: A current NMC Pin registration - RGN A legal right to work in the U.K. Full driving licence with yourown vehicle ( a car allowance is included in the benefits package) Experience in training and community based work is an advantage, training can / will be given.
