The Role
Resulting-IT is looking for an SAP Supply Chain Architect, to lead on designing, implementing, and optimising SAP supply chain solutions to enhance our clients operations and streamline supply chain processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business strategies and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their supply chain needs and translate them into SAP-based solutions. Design and architect SAP supply chain solutions that align with the company's strategic goals.
Ensure seamless integration between SAP supply chain modules and other SAP and non-SAP systems, such as ERP, CRM, and third-party applications.
Identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation within the supply chain.
Collaborate with business users to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Stay current with SAP technologies and industry best practices.
Plan and execute SAP system upgrades and provide ongoing support and maintenance.
Monitor the performance of SAP supply chain solutions and proactively address issues to minimise disruptions and downtime.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP supply chain configurations, processes, and best practices.
Provide training and support to end-users and other IT team members to ensure they can effectively use SAP supply chain solutions.
Collaborate with vendors and third-party consultants as needed to deliver successful projects and support
A bit about you
A successful SAP Supply Chain Architect needs a combination of technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities to design and implement effective supply chain solutions.
A thorough understanding of SAP supply chain modules such as SAP MM (Materials Management), SAP PP (Production Planning), SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), SAP WM (Warehouse Management), and SAP APO (Advanced Planning & Optimization) is essential.
A strong understanding of supply chain processes and best practices is crucial. This includes knowledge of demand forecasting, inventory management, procurement, order fulfilment, and logistics.
Proficiency in SAP systems, databases, and related technologies. Familiarity with integration methods and tools to connect SAP supply chain modules with other systems and applications.
The ability to analyse complex business problems within the supply chain and design SAP solutions that address those challenges effectively. This includes identifying opportunities for automation and process optimisation.
Strong analytical skills to interpret data and metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve supply chain operations.
Effective communication skills are crucial for collaborating with cross-functional teams, translating business needs into technical solutions, and conveying complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in project management to lead SAP supply chain implementation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
The ability to work collaboratively with business users, IT teams, and external consultants to achieve project goals and address supply chain challenges.
The SAP landscape is constantly evolving, so a Supply Chain Architect must be adaptable and stay current with SAP technologies and industry best practices.
Strong documentation skills to create and maintain comprehensive records of SAP configurations, processes, and best practices.
The ability to proactively identify issues or inefficiencies in supply chain processes and provide solutions or improvements.
Skills in managing relationships with SAP vendors and third-party consultants for successful project delivery and support.
While not mandatory, having relevant SAP certifications can demonstrate expertise and commitment to professional development.
Understanding the broader business goals and objectives of the organisation is essential to align SAP solutions with strategic business needs.
Ensuring accuracy in configuration, data mapping, and testing is critical to the successful implementation and operation of SAP supply chain solutions.
Keeping the customer or end-users in mind when designing solutions to ensure they meet the needs and expectations of the organisation.
You will need to have the following skill sets
