Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with an independent firm of chartered accountants in Bishops Stortford who are looking to recruit an accounts assistant/semi senior to the team.
As an Accounts Assistant / Accounts Semi Senior you will undertake a varied role which will see you involved with the preparation of year-end accounts and the associated tax computations for a diverse range of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. You will also be responsible for completing bookkeeping work for clients and preparing and submitting periodic VAT returns.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to join a successful and respected firm where you will gain exposure to a broad array of clients and have the opportunity to progress you career whilst being provided with study support for accountancy qualifications. The role would also offer the chance to become involved with some audit work, although this aspect can be tailored to the individual.
This would be the ideal role for an individual who already possesses experience of working in practice and is now looking to progress their career within an established firm, with a proven track record for developing their staff.
The successful individual may have already completed or may be working towards the latter stages of their AAT Qualification or may have recently started their ACA / ACCA studies.
