Job description
Marketing Manager
Bath
To £45,000
Ref: SM1346
This is a great opportunity for a motivated, hands-on individual to join a leading, product-based FMCG publishing company as its in-house Marketing Manager.
You’ll need a strong eye for design, a positive can-do attitude, and a solid understanding of how products are creatively launched through clever marketing campaigns.
This role requires both an exceptionally high attention to detail and strong commercial knowledge that you’re able to communicate to the wider team.
The Marketing Manager will need at least three years’ experience in a similar role and be highly knowledgeable in social media and be able to demonstrate this. Ideally, you’ll hold a degree or equivalent in marketing, design, creative, communications PR or similar.
The day to day will involve copywriting, press releases, internal comms and social media, plus a steady level of admin and reporting using spreadsheets.
There are also a few important trade shows to attend each year, so it would be a bonus if you have experience in managing the attendance at a trade show. Additionally, a full driving licence and eagerness to attend these events is also a must!
This role will include developing and executing the marketing strategy, managing the brand’s PR and advertising, social media and digital marketing. This is a hands-on role and will suit a marketing manager who loves product.
Our client is looking for someone who can create a solid marketing strategy and then efficiently implement that strategy. In addition to this, you will work with other internal stakeholders to build and maintain brand awareness, research, develop and effectively launch new products and ranges.
The role involves aligning the marketing (print, digital and via exhibitions) with the commercial strategy and NPD launch criteria to ensure the product offer and customer proposition is in line with the business objectives.
Ultimately, you will be running the marketing department and all associated activity (including exhibitions). You will be looking for cost effective methods to promote higher profitability, awareness and competitiveness.
