We are working a lovely school based in
Southampton who are seeking full-time Teaching Assistants to work 1-1 and in small groups with SEN pupils. The school has great facilities with extensive outdoor and indoor sports areas, sensory rooms, soft play areas and new tech rooms. The school’s focus is to give a nurturing approach to learning for ASC pupils. The role is due to start ASAP for the right individual.
Successful applicants will support a class Teacher, ensuring pupils are interacting in the lessons, supporting the pupils needs and encouraging their learning. Experience working or supporting special needs would be desirable.
The Role: - Full time, Monday - Friday
- Hours approximately 8:30am - 3:30pm
- SEN Teaching Assistant
- Autism Support
- £12 to £13 p/h
To be successful you must be able to: - Communicate clearly with Teachers and young individuals
- Create an encouraging learning environment for pupils
- Be understanding and caring
- Carry out tasks involving a computer or hand-device
- Remain calm during stressful situations
- Work on different activities conducted inside and outside school premises
