INTRODUCTION

The energy industry transition is well underway, but integrated energy companies must continue to develop exploration and production (E&P) projects effectively to generate the cash flow needed to enable the energy transition and meet energy demands for years to come. The Integrated Energy Capital Project Analyst role focusses on analysing traditional E&P projects and new energy projects such as carbon capture and storage, electrification, and renewables. KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Gather technical energy project data (predominantly reservoir, facilities, and wells) through client interactions, identifying and evaluating areas of risk

Undertake statistical analysis using IPA’s databases to quantify findings

Write comprehensive reports offering insights and recommendations to clients

Deliver presentations (virtual or in-person) for technical and business audiences

Collaborate with capital project teams and organisations to improve project/system competitiveness

Research project success and failure drivers using statistical methods and IPA’s database

Regular international travel to clients and other IPA offices

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree (preferred) or bachelor’s degree or equivalent in natural sciences, geoscience, reservoir engineering, facilities engineering, drilling/completions engineering, or other relevant technical discipline

Minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience, preferably in an integrated energy company

Proven record of carrying out independent research, preferably as part of a recent relevant role

Experience in manipulating and analysing data
