The client is a successful manufacturer based in Chester that already has a good HSE culture on site and is looking to maintain/improve it.
Job Description
The HSE Manager will be responsible for:
- Ensure compliance with the relevant HSE Legislation and Corporate policy.
- Liaise & co-ordinate any Regulatory, Governmental or Corporate site visits and corrective actions.
- Coordinate internal and external HSE inspections and audits. Implement and track correction action plans.
- Ensure that all external and internal reporting requirements are met on time.
- Maintain and improve (continuous improvement process) ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Manage the accident reduction, near miss, and behavioural safety programs.
- Maintain the risk management measures to ensure that an annual risk assessment review program is in place, whereby risk assessments are completed and that improvements are identified and implemented according to their priority.
- Ensure that Safety equipment including PPE meets the applicable standard.
- Manage the Contractor Safety Program.
- Ensure that Environmental Aspects and Impacts assessments are completed and that control measures are in place to manage significant aspects.
- Manage & maintain the sites waste management system.
- Manage waste and Energy reduction programme
The Successful Applicant
The successful HSE Manager will:
- Previous HS&E experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills, people management, and HS&E management expertise
- Experience conducting audits and risk assessments
- Good working knowledge of HSE legislation
- Experience maintaining a good HSE culture on site
