Job description
Our client is a German-registered casual mobile game company and is looking for a Lead Artist to join them on a remote basis. This full-time art project management role is offering a salary of up to EUR 80,000 and excellent benefits.
As a Lead Artist, you will develop and define the visual style and artistic direction of games, ensuring a cohesive and engaging experience for players.
In your first few weeks in this Lead Artist role, you can expect to:
- Create high-quality concept art and visual designs that breathe life into characters, assets, and environments, pushing the boundaries of creativity and storytelling
- Generate innovative visual concepts and ideas, contributing to the evolution of game projects from inception to completion
- Collaborate closely with in-house 3D artist team members and external outsourcing partners, providing clear guidance and feedback to maintain the integrity and excellence of the design work.
To apply for this role, you will need the ability to independently create stunning concept art, from initial ideas to polished final designs. You will also require the following:
- Experience creating a diverse range of artwork, adapting your style to suit the needs of different projects and genres
- A humble and respectful attitude when receiving feedback from team members, valuing collaboration and using feedback to refine and improve your work
- A good understanding of UI/UX design principles, ensuring that the visual elements harmoniously enhance the player experience
- Experience in team leadership or project management, guiding and inspiring fellow artists.
