We are looking for a talented and highly enthusiastic in-house Technical Sound Designer to join our award-winning development team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take ownership of audio and its supporting systems, and port them to the target platforms
- Ensure the title meets performance and memory targets for the platforms
- Ensure the title meets mix standards for the platforms
- Ensure the title's audio translates to multiple setups, from headphones to speakers and surround sound
- Utilise platform features to champion and expand the game's audio on the new platforms
Requirements
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4 / 5
- Proficiency with audio middleware (Wwise and/or FMOD)
- Proficiency with visual programming languages (Unreal Blueprints / Max MSP / Pure Data)
- Knowledge of modern audio technology like ambisonics, Dolby Atmos, and 3D audio
- Excellent communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Proficiency with at least one DAW (preferably Reaper)
Bonus points:
- Familiarity with C++
- Experience with Unreal Engine's audio systems
- Experience with current-gen console platforms
