Intervals of pay: Monthly
Notice Period: Statutory notice period during probation, 4 weeks upon successful completion of probation
Working Days & hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
Start Date: Mid-May 2024

Job Summary: A lovely family in Wandsworth are looking for a Nanny to help with their 2 young boys. Mum works from home 3 days a week and enjoys picking up and dropping off the eldest boy to and from nursery, however, as she is busy with work this role will primarily be sole charge. Duties will include tidying up after the children, cooking for them, shopping and keeping them busy with age-appropriate educational and developmental activities and outings.
The family enjoy traveling to France once a year so would love a nanny who would travel with them, however, this is not essential.
General duties:
Physical care of the children
Supporting and providing activities for the holistic development of the children
Communicating with parents on all aspects of the care of the children
Providing well-balanced and nutritious meals appropriate to the needs of the children
Taking the children to playgroup/nursery/school
Taking the children on outings appropriate to their age and stage of development
Caring for the children when they are unwell, which may include administering medicine and taking them to the doctor if necessary and with the consent of parents
Cleaning and tidying the nursery, bedroom, playroom and other areas as agreed with parents
Cleaning and laundering the children clothes
Being responsible for all equipment related to the care of the child, including the cleaning and maintenance of items such as sterilisers, buggies, etc.
taking responsibility for the nanny purse and making sound judgements when purchasing items from the nanny purse, as well as obtaining a receipt and providing a fully detailed list of weekly expenses
Occasional babysitting & proxy parenting (with plenty of advanced notice)
Candidate requirements:
A positive, energetic and trustworthy nanny
Experience of looking after children of a similar age in sole charge
Strong communicator
Able to bring new and creative ideas for activities to do with the boys
Hardworking, diligent and tidy/respectful
Values fun, creativity, spontaneity and curiosity
Will ensure the boys get a balance of indoor and outdoor play.
DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
