Summary
About the role:
To help deliver the Regulators’ Pioneer Fund ‘Intelligence Support for Private
Sector Housing Teams in England’ project – to encourage collaboration and
intelligence sharing between housing authorities in England.
About you:
You will be a motivated team player with relevant experience of regulatory work,
intelligence handling and/or a local authority private sector housing team. You
will have experience of delivering projects and encouraging collaboration.

What you will do:
Work with colleagues in the team to deliver the project by building relationships.

sharing of information and intelligence with other housing authorities.
Your responsibilities will be:
Work with team colleagues to develop and produce a project plan in line with
that set out in the Regulators’ Pioneer Fund application.
Develop a working knowledge of the National Trading Standards Intelligence
Operating Model and regional/national intelligence structures and use this as a
basis for delivering the project.
Develop and maintain contacts with local Housing and Environmental Health
authorities within a local authority region in England.
Liaise and work with private sector housing and associated teams in a specified.
region on an ongoing basis to encourage, support and deliver the aims of the project.
Work with project team colleagues to share good practice and ensure.
consistency of approach to collaboration between housing teams in their respective regions and with other housing teams across England and other stakeholders such as Police and Trading Standards.
Represent and promote the work of the project in the media and at events around the country and within the region.
Explore legacy opportunities for the project, including options for sustainability after the end of the project
Work with the team managers to ensure that the project is meeting its strategic objectives.
Contribute to the development of policy and guidance for the project and assist with production of reports as required.
This role does not require access to Police related systems and is therefore not subject to a NPPV check.

Person Specification
Experience
Essential
Experience of working in a relevant enforcement or intelligence environment
Will have delivered projects at a local or regional level.
Experience of collaboration between organisations at a local or regional level
Knowledge
Essential
An understanding of statutory and regulatory controls undertaken by private sector housing and/or Trading Standards & Environmental Health authorities
An understanding of the Intelligence Operating Model and how it applies to local authority enforcement work
Desirable
Be aware of the current challenges facing local authorities in the UK.
Qualifications and Training
Essential
Qualification at level 5 or above in a related discipline or hold a professional qualification at a similar level/ previous experience in a similar role
Project or programme change management qualification or to be obtained within an agreed period
