SEN Teaching Assistant - Darlington
Are you a passionate individual looking for a new role in April 2024? Are you interested in gaining teaching assistant experience in a secondary school setting? Our client school in Darlington are seeking a SEN teaching assistant to work on a 1-1 and small group basis with students who have Special Educational Needs.
This role will provide the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a school setting, giving prospective teaching assistants a pathway into teaching and working with young people.
About the role
- Full-time role starting April 2024 or as soon as possible
- Salary information: £18723 - £22897
- Assisting and supporting students with special educational needs
- Provide general classroom support
Requirements
- Degree level education is desirable but not required
- Excellent 1:1 and group behaviour management skills
- Must have relevant, transferrable skills and a genuine interest in supporting young people
The ideal candidate must
- Be passionate about working with young people
- Have the ability to adapt to the needs of diverse learners
- Previous experience working with young people, preferably within a school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
