Job description

This setting based in Beaconsfield are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join their team. They can offer 4 or 5 days a week.

They are looking for someone who can take a shared responsibility for the welfare, learning and development of a designated group of children within the Childcare Centre by working with initiative and creativity to foster an environment that encourages the children's all-round development.

1 Pre-school room - experienced and qualified ideally to work 3/4 long days per week, 7:30-6:30
2 Baby room - qualified and experienced in working with babies
3 Toddler room - level 2 qualified to work 4 days per week.
4 Opportunity for someone looking to train and work 4 full days 7:30-6:30.

Hours: 7.30am-6.30pm
4 days a week

or

Hours:8am-6pm
5 days a week

Could also offer part time hours and create a job share:
7:30-1:00 / 7:30-4:30 / 1:00-6:30 / 8:00-5:00 / 8:30-4:30

Main Duties-

• Implement policies and procedures to ensure the welfare requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework are met.

• Assist the staff in planning appropriate experiences for the children, in line with the Childcare Centre's policy on teaching and learning to meet the learning and developments requirements of the EYFS Statutory framework.

• Participate in the Childcare Centre's policy on planning, assessment, recording and reporting in line with the requirements of the EYFS Statutory Framework.

• Act as a key carer for a designated group of children.

• Assist the staff in providing effective liaison with parents on a day to day basis regarding the welfare, learning and development of the children in their designated room.

• Take shared responsibility for standards of safety, security, hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness throughout the Childcare Centre.

• Maintain the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in sleeping, nappy changing, food preparation and service areas.

• Take shared responsibility for the care, maintenance and security of all equipment and toys within the Childcare Centre.

• Participate in the nursery's performance review process and access any appropriate training or professional development.

• At all times comply with all policies and procedures.

• At all times treat all staff, children and parents with courtesy and kindness.

Salary: £16,640 - £22,000 gross per annum depending on experience and qualifications
