CNC Grinder Setter
Lee-On-The-Solent
Hours: 6am-2pm Mon-Thurs, 6am-12pm Fri // 2pm-11pm Mon-Thurs, 2pm-6pm Fri
Salary: £17 - £18.50ph including shift allowance
Our client specialises in supplying best-in-class precision engineering of complex components to customers around the world. Due to internal promotions, investment in new machinery and the continued demands of their customers, they have vacancies for 3 Permanent experienced CNC Machinists
Requirements.
⦁ Experience in operating, setting and running of Jones & Shipman CNC Grinders and Manual Cylinderical and surface grinding and preffably experience with honing and lapping processes, in an AS9100 Rev D environment.
⦁ Ability to adjust machine offset coordinates to repeat correct manufacturing requirements.
⦁ Used to working with High Tensile and Ultra High Tensile materials.
⦁ Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings and Route Cards.
⦁ Work effectively as part of a team implementing company policies and procedures.
⦁ Carry out 1st off inspection from route cards and fill out paperwork correctly.
⦁ Must be vigilant and diligent with a good attention to detail and able to maintain high standards of work through high volume batches.
⦁ Used to working to tight tolerances on all types of materials.
⦁ Be able to set a standard of cleanliness and maintain it in their working area.
⦁ To be able to complete accurately and in a timely fashion all relevant paperwork.
⦁ Minimum of 3 years experience within engineering environment.
Proven ability to understand the use of handheld measuring equipment such as:
⦁ Micrometres, Thread Micrometers, Groove Micrometers (Metric & Imperial)
⦁ Bore clock
⦁ Air gauges
⦁ Height gauges
⦁ Plug gauges and screw plug gauges
⦁ Comparators
⦁ MPJ
