Salary: £75 - £95 per day
Working hours: 8.30 am - 3.30 pm

Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified and passionate Teaching Assistant experienced supporting students with SEMH needs to join our team. GSL are currently working with a Multi Academy Trust provision supporting young adults in their educational journeys. Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEMH needs within the classroom setting.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting emotional well-being and social development.
- Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to relevant parties.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of tailored plans to support SEMH students in their learning journey.
- Work closely with external agencies, parents, and colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Qualifications: - Relevant qualifications in education, Sports, Psychology, Performing Arts etc.
- Team Teach training or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working with students with SEMH or SEND needs.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and interventions including de-escalation tactics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience supporting students with EHCP plans is desirable
