Job description

First Marine Solutions (FMS) are a service provider to the local and international renewables and oil & gas sectors specialising in the engineering, d esign, procurement, installation, and maintenance of mooring systems for floating platforms. FMS also specialise in the planning and undertaking of marine activities related to floating platforms such as towage, vessel loadouts, marine assurance, and assisting with location planning and consent.

The Role?

Due to continued growth, First Marine Solutions are currently seeking experienced Party Chief's to join our team on a full time, permanent basis.

Responsible for planning and evaluating field Survey projects in accordance with client requirements and company procedures, whilst leading the field survey teams, preparing, processing, and coordinating the required field survey work, whist supporting the Survey & Positioning Manager as necessary, you will hold Offshore Survey Indu stry experience as a Senior Surveyor and / or Party Chief and hold an Electronics, Electrical, Survey or Computer science based degree or relevant offshore experience.

You will hold the ability to make objective decision timely and effectively, whilst under pressure, recognising where decisions should be escalated to a more senior authority. You will have the ability to establish and maintain project priorities and adapt to changing priorities and working environments whilst having an interest in developing new and innovative ideas to challenge existing methodologies.

Your Experience? 

• Electronics, electrical, Survey or Computer based science degree or equivalent relevant offshore experience.
• Offshore Survey industry experience as a Senor Surveyor and / or Party Chief.
• Offshore Marine Construction experience.
• Familiar with GNSS systems (Veripos), survey software (Eiva)
• Knowledge and implications of environmental conditions and effects on survey systems and data.
• Knowledge of installation and configuration of technical software.
• Full understanding of calibration requirements and procedures of the survey systems and sensors
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
• BOSIET, MIST GWO Certification, ENG1 / OGUK Medical(s)

Preferred:

• Working knowledge of Oil & Gas and Renewable industries technical specifications and standards.
• Full UK Driving License.
