Job description
Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently seeking Class 2 drivers for a variety of our clients in the Midlothian and East Lothian areas.
About our Class 2 work:
- We have a variety of roles available, including shunting, deliveries and/or collections, A mixture of long distance and local deliveries which can involve multidrop or site-to-site.
- Deliveries can be to commercial and/or residential properties.
- Manual handling of items at delivery points can be involved, so we ask that candidates are comfortable with some lifting.
We work with a variety of clients, with industries including but not limited to:
- Plumbing distributers
- Timber merchants
- Commercial supplies
- Skips / Bins
- Cash & Carry
- Pallet Networks
Prior to application, we ask that all candidates have:
- Category C licence
- Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph cards
- Previous commercial experience is essential
- No more than 9 points on your licence (DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements are not accepted due to insurance stipulations)
Successful HGV 2 Drivers can expect:
- Weekly Pay
- Holiday accrual with every shift
- 8hrs minimum guaranteed pay per day
- Opportunity to work for various clients widening your knowledge and experience
- Ad-hoc work (Perfect to fit around other work or commitments)
Rate of pay (PAYE with holidays accrued):
Rates start at £12.50 p/h up to £18.75 p/h depending on client, days, and start times.
We have found other driving, and logistics professional to be successful such as HGV Driver, and LGV Drivers.
This position is commutable from Leith, Dalkeith, East Lothian, and other surrounding areas.
